Why do this ride: This was ridden as part of the BC Gravel Series which takes place on Mosaic land in various portions of Vancouver Island. The landscape is a mixed blessing, the lower portions like the Koksilah Valley are really nice but other parts higher up are dominated by clearcuts.

Difficulty: A good chunk of climbing and the ridges were very wind exposed. Not technical but rough stretches in fresh cut block areas.

Other notes:  BC Gravel Series is nicely organized. Be sure to ride with them. The River City event (also on these pages) was my favorite.
